COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER
(Cliff Hartline 2021) 395 M
[CH 16-65] (Buckeye Beauty x Star Performer)
A unique glad deserves an equally unique name. For me, I see an overwhelming look of charcoal with an underlying glow. Deep rusty brown on the outer petals blending to cream in the center. The cream is overlaid with the rusty brown. Cream midrib flares are quite distinct. But what makes this little lady truly remarkable, is that there are pumpkin orange flames on the reverse sides of the petals. This glowing color flirts with you as the buds unfurl and the parade begins. Lightly ruffled 4 inch florets with medium substance, and formal placement, last and last, on spikes with at least 20 buds, holding 7 open, and 5 in color. Medium height plants with nice straight stiff stems. Florets were chosen for corsages, boutonnieres, and long stem arm bouquets, for our Son Marcus and Sabine’s Wedding.
